 অলপতে, মানে কালি এজন‌ খুড়াৰ কবিতা এটা পঢ়ি ভাল লগাত শ্বেয়াৰ কৰিলোঁ।  তেখেত এজন‌ সদায় অধ্যয়ন কৰি ভাল পোৱা, বিভিন্ন জ্ঞানেৰে সমৃদ্ধ,  উচ্চপদস্থ অৱসৰপ্ৰাপ্ত ভাৰতীয় প্ৰশাসনিক বিষয়া।  তেখেতৰ মাতৃ আছিল যোৰহাটৰ ৰয়েল ৰ'দৰ, মোৰ দেউতা চৈয়দ আনৱাৰ শ্বাহৰ নিজৰ পেহীয়েক চৈয়দা আবিদুন্নীছা বেগম (আমাৰ আইদেউ নানী) আৰু দেউতাক আছিল মোৰ দেউতাৰ মাকৰফালৰ পৰা, আৰু সাহিত্যিক চৈয়দ আব্দুল মালিকৰ দেউতাকৰ ফালৰপৰা, নিজৰ জেঠায়েক চৈয়দা হাফিজা খাতুনৰ পুত্ৰ, যোৰহাটৰ চৈয়দ আহমদ হুছেইন চাহাব (জন্ম-মৃত্যু ১৮৯৫-১৫ জুলাই ১৯৮৫)।  তেখেতৰ দেউতাক চৈয়দ মহম্মদ আলি চাহাব যোৰহাট চৰকাৰী হাইস্কুলৰ শিক্ষক, আৰু লগতে আছিল তেওঁ ঘোঁৰা বাগীৰ ভাল ব্যৱসায়ী।  অন্য ভাষাত সেইসময়ৰ টেক্সী ছাৰ্ভিছৰ মালিক।  চৈয়দ আহমদ হুছেইন চাহাব অতি মেধাশক্তি সম্পন্ন ব্যক্তি আছিল বুলি আমি সৰুৰেপৰাই জানো।‌‌ তেখেতে ৯ বছৰ বয়সতে পবিত্ৰ কোৰাণ শ্বৰীফ সম্পূৰ্ণকৈ মুখস্থ কৰি হাফিজ হৈছিল। সদায় পৰীক্ষাত প্ৰথম স্থান পাইছিল বাবে তেখেত চিনাকি সকলৰ মাজত হৈ গৈছিল, ফাৰ্ষ্ট চাহাব। তাকে অসমীয়া মুখত হৈ পৰিছিল ফাচ, আৰু সেয়ে দেউতাহঁতৰ বাবে আছিল ফাচ ককাইটি/ ক্ৱাইটি, আৰু আমাৰ বাবে আছিল ফাচ নানা/বৰবা।  সেইটো নামেৰেহে আপোন যেন লাগে বেছি।  পিছত ডাঙৰ হৈহে আমি জানিছোঁ তেখেতৰ আচল নামটো। ইচলাম ধৰ্মত কিন্তু কোনো ল'ৰা-ছোৱালীক তেওঁ বেয়া পোৱা নাম দিয়া মানা আছে, যেনে গেৰেলা, তেতেৰা, কলীয়া, কণা, গেন্ধেলা, ফেঁচী জাতীয়।  তেখেতৰটো অৱশ্যে ভাল গুণৰ বাবেহে দিছিল।  তথাপি মই নাজানো তেখেতে এই নামটোত বেয়া পাইছিল নেকি।  যদি পাইছিল, অজানিতে কৰা দোষৰ বাবে ক্ষমা বিচাৰিছোঁ, কিয়নো আমি তেখেতক সদায় সন্মানহে কৰিছিলোঁ।  তেখেতে অসমৰ নানান চহৰত চৰকাৰী ইংৰাজী হাইস্কুলত ইংৰাজী আৰু অঙ্ক দুয়োটা বিষয়তে শিক্ষকতা কৰি ধুবুৰী চৰকাৰী ইংৰাজী হাইস্কুলৰ অধ্যক্ষ হিচাপে ১৯৫৩ চনত অৱসৰ গ্ৰহণ কৰিছিল। অৱসৰ লোৱাৰ পাছত তেখেতে সৰল অসমীয়াত বহুতো কিতাপ লিখি প্ৰকাশ কৰিছিল, কিছুমান ইছলাম ধৰ্ম সম্পৰ্কীয়, তাৰে কিছুমান মোৰ ইয়াতো আছে, যিবোৰ কিবা বিশেষ পবিত্ৰ দিনত বা ৰাতি, বিভিন্ন দিনত বা মাহত বিশেষ ধৰণে উপাসনা কৰিবলৈ হ'লে, এতিয়াও আমি পঢ়ি নিয়মবোৰ মনত পেলাই লওঁ। আৰু কিছুমান শিশু উপযোগী কিতাপ কবিতাৰে লিখা, মোৰ ওচৰত নাই, কিন্তু কোনোবাই শ্বেয়াৰ কৰিলেহে পঢ়িবলৈ পাওঁ, বঢ়িয়া লাগে পঢ়ি।  আশাকৰোঁ খুড়াই বা নাতি-নাতিনীয়েকসকলে সেইবোৰ আকৌ প্ৰকাশ কৰিব।‌  চৈয়দ আহমদ হুছেইন চাহাবৰ সন্তান সকলো মেধাৱী আছিল, এজন পুত্ৰ ভাল ব্যৱসায়ী, আন তিনিজন উচ্চ পদস্থ চৰকাৰী বিষয়া আছিল, আৰু নাতিপুতিসকল বৰ্তমান অসম, ভাৰত আৰু বিদেশৰ বিভিন্ন ঠাইত বসবাস কৰি আছে।  

তেখেতৰ পুত্ৰ এই‌ খুড়াই নিজে লিখি বা অনুবাদ কৰি আমাৰ পৰিয়ালৰ লগত শ্বেয়াৰ কৰি থকা ৰচনাসমূহ যাতে অচিৰেই আমি সকলোৱেই কিতাপ আকাৰে পঢ়িবTVলৈ পাওঁ, সেই কাৰণে মই অনুৰোধ জনালোঁ।

Thank you for posting this! Syed Ahmed Hussain Saheb  is my Grandfather . I am the eldest son of Syed Ahmed Hussain Saheb’s eldest son Syed Inamul Hoque . “ First Nana” spent lot of time with us after his retirement with us . My father used to bring Nana and Nani Syeda Abidunnisa to stay with us wherever my father was posted - in Tezpur , Shillong etc . It was because of him that I finished almost 10 volumes of “ Children’s Encyclopaedia” and 7 volumes of “ Lands and People “ while still in School in Shillong in St Anthony’s High School . I saw the world through him and famous History and literature like Charles Dickens, Wordsworth, Leo Tolstoy while I was still in school . I still remember him telling about Leaning Tower of Pisa, Venice, Gondolas etc 

Later on life I saw for myself all those places. He opened me up to the world where I was still in School . In my childhood , I always dreamt about the world which I could see from him . 

He also taught me many religious practices - daily prayers, special prayers, importance of Haj, how to pray when you visit the “ Kabarasthan” , Dargah etc - the entire methodology of prayers - from Salaams to Munajat - what Surahs to recite in order and how to perform Munajat for all our Prophets ( AS) , Rasulullah ( SAW) and the whole lineage for their Souls. Till today , I practice his teachings and teach it to my wife and children. 

We have not passed an occasion without reading his book “ Kanjul Khairat” - which is a guide for our daily prayers . It is our tradition to take that book and read for every occasion -like Shab-E - Baraat  , Laitalul Qador, etc . My wife carries the teachings of the book all along with her . 

Actual spiritual Ibadat and complete submission to our Creator - Allah SWT was imbibed in our very existence and way to practice by him - my grandfather for which I always pray to Allah SWT  for him - feel  so fortunate to have him as my grandfather and my guide in life both for knowledge and spirituality . 

It is 4:13 am in the morning here in Kolkata . I got up at 3:30 am and saw your post and could not resist in expressing my feelings for him - so wrote the above lines .

I requested bulbul deda Syedmd Saifullah  only five days ago to write something about all our elders and family members . Syed Md Saifullah 

This was decided in our whatsapp meeting with you, Syed Maruf Nazneen Shah  and all others.

I am thankful to you and munu ka Syed Iftikar Ahmed  for sharing about our grandfather. 

I do have many memories with nena and nani. One thing is for sure, nena gave me a vision for my career when i was studying in class Nine. After that i dropped all my literary things (writting short stories , poems and jingles ) and concentrated in my studies. Even now i am following his advice ..."Do one thing at a time and dont become jack of all trades" . Hence i only know my professional work now 😀. 

And as munu ka said, he showed us how to make duwa to Allah for our ancestors upto the Prophet SAW. May Allah forgive all our deceased and give all of them jannatul firdous on the waseela of our Prophet SAW. Ameen.
