definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants
There is one quality that one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants and a burning desire to achieve it.
Napoleon Hill
Before you can determine your "frog" and get on with the job of eating it, you have to decide exactly what you want to achieve in each area of your life. Clarity is perhaps the most important concept in personal productivity. The number one reason why some people get more work done faster is because they are absolutely clear about their goals and objectives, and they don't deviate from the.
The greater clarity you have regarding what you want and the steps you will have to take to achieve it, the easier it will be for you to overcome procrastination, eat your frog, and complete the task before you.
A major reason for procrastination and lack of motivation is vagueness, confusion, and fuzzy-mindedness about what you are trying to do and in what order and for what reason. You must avoid this common condition with all your strength by striving for ever greater clarity in your major goals and tasks.
Here is a great rule for success: Think on paper
Only about 3 per cent of adults have clear, written goals. These people accomplish five and ten times as much as people of equal or better education and ability but who, for whatever reason, have never taken the time to write out exactly what they want.
There is a powerful formula for setting and achieving goals that you can use for the rest of your life. It consists of seven simple steps. Any one of these steps can double and triple your productivity if you are not currently using it. Many of my graduates have increased their incomes dramatically.
Step one: Decide exactly what you want. Either decide for yourself or sit down with your boss and discuss your goals and objective until you are crystal clear about what is expected of you and in what order of priority. It is amazing how many people are working away, day after day, on low-value tasks because they have not had this critical discussion with their managers.
One of the very worst uses of time is to do something very well that need not be done at all.
Stephen Covey says, "Before you begin scrambling up the ladder of success, make sure that it is leaning against the right building."
Step two: Write it down. Think on paper. When you write down a goal, you crystallize it and give it tangible form. You create something that you can touch and see. On the other hand, a goal or objective that is not in writing is merely a wish or a fantasy. It has no energy behind it. Unwritten goals lead to confusion, vagueness, misdirection, and numerous mistakes.
Step three: Set a deadline on your goal; set subdeadlines if necessary. A goal or decision without a deadline has no urgency. It has no real beginning or end. Without a define deadline accompanied by the assignment or acceptance of specific responsibilities for completion, you will naturally procrastinate and get very little done.
Step four: Make a list of everything that you can think of that you are going to have to do to achieve your goal. As you think of new activities, add them to your list. Keep building your list until it is complete. A list gives you a visual picture of the larger task or objective. It gives you a track to run on. It dramatically increases the likelihood that you will achieve your goal as you have defined it and on schedule.
Step five: Organize the list into a plan. Organize your list by priority and sequence. Take a few minutes to decide what you need to do first and what you can do later. Decide what has to be done before something else and what need to be done afterward. Even better, lay out your plan visually in the form of a series of boxes and circles on a sheet of paper, with lies and arrows showing the relationship of each task to each other task.
You'll be amazed at how much easier it is to achieve your goal when you break it down into individual tasks.
With a written goal and an organized plan of action, you will be far more productive and efficient than people who are carrying their goals around in their minds.
Step six: Take action on your plan immediately. Do something. Do anything. An average plan vigorously executive is far better than a brilliant plan on which nothing is done. For you to achieve any kind of success, execution is everything.
Step seven: Resolve to do something every single day that moves you toward your major goal. Build this activity into your daily schedule. You may decide to read a specific number of pages on a key subject. You may call on a specific period of physical exercise. You may learn a certain number of new words in a foreign language. Whatever it is, you must never miss a day.
Keep pushing forward. One you start moving, keep moving. Don't stop. This decision, this discipline alone, can dramatically increase your speed of goal accomplishment and boost your personal productivity.
The Power of Written Goals
Clear written goals have a wonderful effect on your thinking. They motivate you and galvanize you into action. They stimulate your creativity, release your energy, and help you to overcome procrastination as much as any other factor.
Goals are the fuel in the furnace of achievement. The bigger your goals and the clearer they are, the more excided you become about achieving them. The more you think about your goals, the greater become your inner drive and desire to accomplish them.
Think about your goals and review them daily. Every morning when you begin, take action on the most important task you can accomplish to achieve your most important goal at the moment.

SIGNS OF WEAK IMAAN
From: RehanaSent: Friday, September 28, 2007 4:21 PMSubject: SIGNS OF WEAK IMAAN
SIGNS OF WEAK IMAAN
1) Committing sins and not feeling any guilt.2) Having a hard heart and no desire to read the Quran.3) Feeling too lazy to do good deeds, e.g. being late for salat4) Neglecting the Sunnah.5) Having mood swings, for instance being upset about petty things and bothered and irritated most of the time.6) Not feeling anything when hearing verses from the Quran, for example when Allah warns us of punishments and His promise of glad tidings.7) Finding difficulty in remembering Allah and making dhikr.8) Not feeling bad when things are done against the Shariah.9) Desiring status and wealth.10) Being mean and miserly, i.e. not wanting to part with wealth.11) Ordering others to do good deeds when not practising them ourselves.12) Feeling pleased when things are not progressing for others.13) Being concerned with whether something is haram or halal only; and not avoiding makroo (not recommended) things.14) Making fun of people who do simple good deeds, like cleaning the mosque.15) Not feeling concerned about the situation of Muslims.16) Not feeling the responsibility to do something to promote Islam.17) Being unable to deal with calamities, for instance crying and yelling in funerals.18) Liking to argue just for the sake of arguing without any proof.19) Becoming engrossed and very involved with dunya, worldly things, i.e. feeling bad only when losing something in terms of material wealth.20) Becoming engrossed and obsessive about ourselves.LISTED BELOW ARE WAYS TO INCREASE OUR IMAAN1) Recite and ponder on the meanings of the Quran. Tranquility then descends and our hearts become soft. To get optimum benefit, remind yourself that Allah is speaking to you. People are described in different categories in the Quran; think of which one you find yourself in.2) Realize the greatness of Allah. Everything is under His control. There are signs in everything we see that points us to His greatness. Everything happens according to His permission. Allah keeps track and looks after everything, even a black ant on a black rock on a black moonless night.3) Make an effort to gain knowledge, for at least the basic things in daily life e.g. how to make wudu properly. Know the meanings behind Allah's names and attributes. People who have taqwa are those who have knowledge .4) Attend gatherings where Allah is remembered. In such gatherings we are surrounded by angels.5) We have to increase our good deeds. One good deed leads to another good deed. Allah will make the way easy for someone who gives charity and also make it easy for him or her to do good deeds. Good deeds must be done continuously, not in spurts.6) We must fear the miserable end to our lives; the remembrance of death is the destroyer of pleasures.7) Remember the different levels of akhirah, for instance when we are put in our graves, when we are judged, whether we will be in paradise or hell.8) Make dua, realize that we need Allah. Be humble. Don't covet material things in this life.9) Our love for Subhana Wa Ta'Ala must be shown in actions. We must hope Allah will accept our prayers, and be in constant fear that we do wrong. At night before going to sleep, we must think about what good we did during that day.10) Realize the effects of sins and disobedience- one's imaan is increased with good deeds and our imaan is decreased by bad deeds. Everything that happens is because Allah wanted it. When calamity befalls us- it is also from Allah. It is a direct result of our disobedience to Allah.
"KEEP THIS CIRCULATING - IT WILL HELP US BECOME BETTER MUSLIMS, INSHA - ALLAH"If I am right, it is from Allah, and if I am wrong, it is from my own self ..........Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Aalameen

EM technology
EM Technology Of Waste Water Treatment :
EM - short for "Effective Micro-organisms.
EM is a liquid culture of aerobic and anaerobic micro-organisms mainly sourced from human food processing and from nature. It consists of lactobacilli, yeast, photosynthetic bacteria, ray fungi and filamentous fungi. It does not contain any genetically modified organisms, is safe and easy to handle, and harmless to human health even if accidentally ingested.
EM offers benefits in the following fields of activities: Solid waste management, sewage and effluent treatment, hazardous waste treatment, hygiene management, and environmental regeneration.
METHOD OF PREPARATION OF EM SOLUTION:
One liter of EM stock solution and 2 kg of organically grown jaggery (or of molasses) are to be mixed with 17 liters of water and kept for fermentation for ten days in a 20 liter container.. The water has to be clean and free from chlorine. The container should be of food-grade plastic. (Glass or metal containers are not appropriate as the development of gas may cause the container to break or explode.). It should be clean, not contaminated with chemicals, and have an airtight lid. As little air as possible should be left in the container (between the liquid and the lid). As gas pressure will develop, the lid will have to be opened everyday for a second to release it.For the period of activation, in tropical regions , the container has to be placed in shade at ambient temperatures (20-40 degrees Celsius) without exposure to strong temperature fluctuations. Depending on actual ambient temperatures, extended EM (abbreviated as EMe or EMa) will be ready after five to ten days: This is verified by a pH of or lower than 3.5 and a pleasant sweet-sour smell.
Thus from one liter of EM stock solution and one kg (or liter) of jaggery, 22 liters activated EM solution ready for use can be produced. In hygiene, EMa is being used full strength or in dilution with water up to 1:100, in farming in dilutions ranging from 1:200 to 1:1,000, and in wastewater treatment diluted (with effluent or sewage) up to several thousand times. With one liter of EM stock solution, 2,200 liters (if EMa is diluted 1:100) or 22,000 liters (if EMa is diluted 1:1,000) of solution can be produced, and even bigger volumes of effluents can be treated.
Package Treatment plant: Upflow aerobic Bio Reactor module The module consists of a) Bio Reactor with EM technology, b) Tube Settler
The effluent will be pumped at an average flow rate to the Biological reactor. .This is basically attached growth upflow aerobic bio reactor. The flow will be from the bottom of the reactor to the top overflow weir of the reactor.
The biological reactor is fed with 200 Liter of EM solution.
The clarified wastewater collected from the collection launder of reactor is sent to the tube settler. The clarified waste water is sent to the disinfection tank/ sewer.
Because of the new method, the size of the treatment plant reduces by 10 -15 % thereby reducing capital cost.
Also Maintenance cost is minimised .

Some Health Guidelines for Ramadhaan
----- Original Message -----From: RehanaSent: Tuesday, September 18, 2007 5:13 PMSubject: Some Health Guidelines for Ramadhaan
SOME HEALTH GUIDELINES FOR RAMADHAAN
Dr. Farouk Haffejee
During the holy month of Ramadhan, our diet should not differ very much from our normal diet and should be as simple as possible. The diet should be such that we maintain our normal weight, neither losing nor gaining. However, if one is over-weight, Ramadhan is an ideal time to normalise one's weight.in view of the long hours of fasting, we should consume slow digesting foods including fibre containing-foods rather than fast-digesting foods.Slow digesting foods last up to 8 hours, while fast-digesting foods lastfor only 3 to 4 hours.
Slow-digesting foods are foods that contain grains and seeds like barley, wheat, oats, millet, semolina, beans, lentils, wholemeal flour, unpolished rice, etc. (called complex carbohydrates).
Fast-burning foods are foods that contain sugar, white flour, etc. (called refined carbohydrates).
* Fibre-containing foods are bran-containing foods, whole wheat, grains and seeds, vegetables like green beans, peas, sem(papry), marrow, mealies, spinach, and other herbs like methie, the leaves of beetroot (iron-rich), fruit with skin, dried fruit especially dried apricots, figs and prunes, almonds, etc.
The foods eaten should be well-balanced, containing foods from each food group, i.e . fruits, vegetables, meat/chicken/fish, bread/cereals and dairy products. Fried foods are unhealthy and should be limited. They cause indigestion, heart-burn, and weight problems.
AVOID
1.Fried and fatty foods.
2. Foods containing too much sugar.
3. Over-eating especially at sehri.
4. Too much tea at sehri. Tea makes you pass more urine taking with it valuable mineral salts that your body would need during the day.
5. Smoking cigarettes. If you cannot give up smoking, cut down gradually starting a few weeks before Ramadhan. Smoking is unhealthy and one should stop completely. EAT
1.Complex carbohydrates at sehri so that the food lasts longer making you less hungry.
2.Haleem is an excellent source of protein and is a slow-burning food.
3.Dates are excellent source of sugar, fibre, carbohydrates, potassium and magnesium.
4. Almonds are rich in protein and fibre with less fat.
5.Bananas are a good source of potassium, magnesium and carbohydrates.
DRINK
As much water or fruit juices as possible between iftar and bedtime so that your body may adjust fluid levels in time.
CONSTIPATION
Constipation can cause piles (haemorroids), fissures (painful cracks in anal canal) and indigestion with a bloated feeling.
Causes: Too much refined foods, too little water and not enough fibre in the diet.
Remedy: Avoid excessive refined foods, increase water intake, use bran in baking, brown flour when making roti.
INDIGESTION AND WIND
Causes: Over-eating. Too much fried and fatty foods, spicy foods, and foods that produce wind e.g. eggs, cabbage, lentils, carbonated drinks like Cola also produce gas.
Remedy: Do not over-eat, drink fruit juices or better still drink water.Avoid fried foods, add ajmor to wind-producing foods.
LETHARGY ('low blood pressure')
Excessive sweating, weakness, tiredness, lack of energy, dizziness, especially on getting up from sitting position, pale appearance and feeling faint are symptoms associated with "low blood pressure".
This tends to occur towards the afternoon.
Causes: Too little fluid intake, decreased salt intake.
Remedy: Keep cool, increase fluid and salt intake.
Caution: Low blood pressure should be confirmed by taking a blood pressure reading when symptoms are present. Persons with high blood pressure may need their medication adjusted during Ramadhan. They should consult their doctor.
HEADACHE Causes: Caffeine and tobacco-withdrawal, doing too much in one day, lack of sleep, hunger usually occur as the day goes by and worsens at the end of the day. When associated with "low blood pressure", the headache can be quite severe and can also cause nausea before Iftar.
Remedy: Cut down caffeine and tobacco slowly starting a week or two before Ramadhan. Herbal and caffeine-free teas may be substituted.
Reorganise your schedule during the Ramadan so as to have adequate sleep.
LOW BLOOD SUGAR :Weakness, dizziness, tiredness, poor concentration, perspiring easily, feeling shaky (tremor), unable to perform physical activities, headache, palpitations are symptoms of low blood sugar.
Causes in non-diabetics: Having too much sugar i.e. refined carbohydrates especially at suhur (sehri). The body produces too much insulin causing the blood glucose to drop.
Remedy: Eat something at sehri and limit sugar-containing foods and drinks.
Caution: Diabetics may need to adjust their medication in Ramadan, consult your doctor.
MUSCLE CRAMPS Causes: Inadequate intake of calcium, magnesium and potassium foods.
Remedy: Eat foods rich in the above minerals e.g. vegetables, fruit, dairy products, meat and dates.
Caution: Those on high blood pressure medication and with kidney stone problems should consult their doctor.
PEPTIC ULCERS, HEART BURN, GASTRITIS AND HIATUS HERNIA
Increased acid levels in the empty stomach in Ramadhan aggravate the above conditions. It presents as a burning feeling in the stomach area under the ribs and can extend upto the throat. Spicy foods, coffee, and Cola drinks worsen these conditions.
Medications are available to control acid levels in the stomach.
People with proven peptic ulcers and hiatus hernia should consult their doctor well before Ramadhan. KIDNEY STONES
Kidney stones may occur in people who have less liquids to drink.
Therefore, it is essential to drink extra liquids so as to prevent stone formation.
JOINT PAINS Causes: During Ramadhan, when extra salah are performed the pressure on the knee joints increases. In the elderly and those with arthritis this may result in pain, stiffness, swelling and discomfort.
Remedy: Lose weight so that the knees do not have to carry any extra load. Exercise the lower limbs before Ramadhan so that they can be prepared for the additional strain. Being physically fit allows greater fulfilment, thus enabling one to be able to perform salah with ease.
