The Concept of Help By Maulana Wahiduddin Khan

The Concept of Help By Maulana Wahiduddin Khan 09.02.2020

Today a person asked me a question. The question is very important, and so I have made it the title for today. The question covers the whole of human history. Although it is a personal question, I found it so important that I have made it the title for my today's lecture. I will request Dr. Rajat to read out this question. The question is by a person who has said: “I was told to help others and I did so to date. I used to help anyone without thinking about my financial condition, under the impression that something good will happen to me. But instead of it, I lost everything and today I am on the edge of bankruptcy. The reason I wrote this mail is that I want to understand what mistake I have done. I need strength to face this situation.”

It is my discovery that in the entire human history all people have been living under an obsession of ‘helping others’. They believe that the greatest good is to help people. I think that this ‘help’ is actually doing enmity toward others. A human being is born with the mind (aql). The mind is so great and powerful that nothing equals it in comparison. If there is anything greater than the human mind, it is God’s mind. In the whole of history, people have been thinking that the greatest quality or the greatest act of goodness is to help others. But I can say after a long experience that helping others is actually becoming an enemy for others.

The reason for this is that God has kept unlimited potential in the human mind. If you help others a lot—if you have a child and give him everything—then his eyes will be diverted away from his own potential. He will not be able to convert his potential to actuality. Rather his focus would be on receiving and utilizing help from others. This is why children who receive a lot of money from their parents prove to be very unproductive and useless. When parents give a lot of dowry to their daughter, it proves to make her useless. I am saying this out of my experience.

The greatest help is a situation of compulsion. When God wants a person to achieve something great, He creates compulsion for that person. The greatest blessing of God is a situation of compulsion. But rich parents do not wish to see their children in any difficulty, which is why they give their children a lot of easy money. But if the child undergoes hardship and difficulties, then that will prove to be ‘help’ for the child. Parents should not become enemies of their children. Rather they should allow their children to face hardships and situations of pressure. This will help awaken their potentials. Rich parents, in their love for the child, prevent the potential of their children from being actualized. They want all the work of their child to happen smoothly without him or her making any effort.

There are numerous examples from the whole of human history. God’s way is to create compulsion, and not to let man remain in comfort. For example, when God first created man, according to the Bible, God settled him in the Garden of Eden. This is mentioned in the Bible. I believe this is correct. Eden was very beautiful, fertile and the best land on earth. Everything was perfect there. Man was initially settled in Eden. The people of Eden became involved in fighting with one another and gave birth to the tribal system. Thus this region, which is today called Mesopotamia (the region between Tigris and Euphrates), became a place where people did no constructive work. Then God caused a flood to overwhelm that area. God then guided Prophet Noah to build a huge ark. The people of the time were housed in this Ark of Noah. Then God had the Ark pushed in the great floods. A great flood hit the region of Mesopotamia and Noah’s Ark sailed in it. The Ark waded through the floods and finally reached the coast of present-day Turkey. This has been referred to as Judi in the Quran. This was a cold region, while Mesopotamia was a region with warm climate. So the people of Noah were taken from a region with hot climate to a region of cold climate. Because of the hot climate, people of Mesopotamia had become involved in a lot of fighting. The generation raised there was engrossed in the culture of battle. Due to this, wisdom could not be fostered in the atmosphere of Mesopotamia. God wanted wisdom to develop. So He sent the people of Mesopotamia to Turkey and the rest of Europe, a region with cold climate.

It was in these regions that scientific technology was developed. For the development of wisdom, people need to do a lot of discussion amongst themselves, so that their minds are broadened or opened up. In the Mesopotamian regions, differences were taken in a negative sense. In the Muslim regions there was a lot of clash over differences. This is true even today. There are intellectual and political differences in which these people are deeply enmeshed. This is why the people of Mesopotamia were taken from a hot climate to a cold climate. In this region with cold weather, a different temperament developed and the tendency to fight came to an end. This is how this western region was able to discover technology.

Muslims settled in the regions of Iran and Arabia could not make these new discoveries. God first gave the horse to people for travelling. God later desired that people should travel on cars and aeroplanes. When man was born, he found horses in the jungles. He trained these horses for travel. Thus horse was available for free. Now God wanted people to utilize their minds and discover the hidden technology in nature, and thus construct aeroplanes. But due to the enormous differences over various issues, people could not utilize the potential of their minds. They were engaged in clash and conflict.

The people of colder climate, that is, the West discovered many things. I will speak about a very unique principle of the West. The people of the West converted ‘difference’ into ‘dissent’. When it comes to differences, there is dichotomy. That is, I have an opinion and you have another opinion, and we both are involved in endless arguments to prove ourselves true. This is dichotomy. The West, however, developed the principle of dissent. Dissent is a neutral term. If one person is differing with another person on a matter, both will be neutral in their stands. Earlier there was no concept of having a neutral opinion—people were busy trying to determine which opinion was right and which one was wrong. The people of the colder regions discovered the principle of dissent. Those who lived in hot climate could not discover this principle and continued to live in dichotomy. Earlier there was only the concept of ‘right’ and ‘wrong’. Now people of the West developed the concept of both opinions—for and against a matter—to be right. This is called dissent. It was then that development could happen.

Thus God gives shock treatment to people—He brought about a storm during the age of Noah which transferred people from Mesopotamia to Europe. Newton also had to experience an apple falling on his head. The apple fell on his head, and nowhere else. When something falls on our head from above, it hurts. This experience of the falling of an apple was from God. It made Newton ponder—he thought why did the apple fall down and not go up. Thinking in this way, he discovered the law of gravitation. I call this God’s way to create compulsion for people so that they go on the path of thinking. I call this method 'giving an apple shock’ to a person. All great achievements and discoveries in human history have happened by way of ‘apple shock’.

If a child is born to you, you tend to raise him in the midst of flowers. Keeping one’s child in flowers is not God’s way. Children must be allowed to go through shocks. Then their minds will open up. All rich parents want to keep their children in comfort and ease. These parents do not know the wisdom of ‘apple shock’. Parents who know the wisdom of ‘apple shock’ are intelligent and their children will progress. This is also why the children of poor parents are more successful. Rich parents with a lot of money do not know the wisdom of apple shock. This is why God created poverty and hardship. Because people could not discover the wisdom of ‘apple shock’, God made poverty and difficulty. There is a verse in the Quran in which God says: “We shall certainly test you with fear and hunger, and loss of property, lives and crops. Give good news to those who endure with patience.” (2:155) ‘Apple shock’ means the shock of hardships and difficulties. Difficulties are God’s blessings.

According to a hadith, a person was once praying to God to have his hardship removed. Then listening to his prayer, God said to Gabriel: “O Gabriel, do not make haste in removing the hardship of this person (la tajal li-qaza hajati abdi), because I love to hear his voice.” Here, ‘voice’ means the thinking that develops in a person due to struggle and shock, which helps in his progress and development. God asked Gabriel to not remove the hardship of the person and let him continue in it, so that he could face the shock. This was because such a situation would awaken his potential and thus help actualize his God-given qualities.

The trend of helping people is not right. Rather people should be made to face hardships and problems, so that their potentials can be unfolded and become actuality. People do not allow their potentials to be unfolded. This is a great piece of wisdom in the Quran: “With every hardship, there is ease.” (94:5) Ease comes with hardships, or in other words, success comes with hardships. Shocks open up ways for a person. Shocks help a person to think more. This is God’s wisdom. God wants people to utilize their God-given wisdom and intelligence. When you give help to people, you let people’s God-given intelligence to remain asleep.

I have studied this matter extensively. Those who faced hardship were alone successful in life. I have seen this in my own family. I had a very large family. My elder brother, Abdul Aziz Khan, was in a very bad condition initially and was not given any respect in the family. Some even began to call him wretched. Then my brother, when he faced many difficulties and hard circumstances, became a hero. He went ahead to achieve the greatest amount of success in the entire family. Whereas those in our family who were given a lot of love and affection could not achieve any success.

I want you all to understand that the concept of helping others is not natural. What do I mean by ‘help’? I help people by imparting wisdom through my books on the secrets of life. My concept of ‘helping people’ is different. The concept of help common among people is to give people clothes, food and money, for free. This is the model of Mother Teresa—giving things to people for free. But this mission failed completely. Mother Teresa’s very close friend has written a book in which she has revealed that Mother Teresa died in agony. This is because she could not attain anything. If, on the contrary, you see the Tatas—they gave a gift to the country in terms of the steel industry, aviation, and so on. The Tatas have given many great gifts to our country.

I believe that an intelligent father is one who allows his child to bear hardships. He lets his children struggle. He should not earn money and give it for free to his children. He should let his children work hard. You can experience this on your own—if a father of a family remained in difficulties and could not give his children money, then his children would be more successful. But if a father had given a lot of money to his children and bestowed a lot of comforts on them, then his children would not be successful. This is the law of nature. God has established in the whole of history that success comes through pressure, problems, difficulties and tough situations.

The Quran says: “We shall certainly test you with fear and hunger, and loss of property, lives and crops. Give good news to those who endure with patience.” (2:155) Here, ‘good news’ (tabshir) is used because difficulties alone lead to success. There is success in patience. All success is through one who remains patient in the midst of hardships. There is no success in being in comfort.

Where did the civilization and the developed world airse from? The Muslims of the thirteenth century were involved in the Crusades against the Christian kings. This war of Crusades continued for about two hundred years. The Christians suffered a humiliating defeat in the Crusades. These defeated people from the Crusades then discovered modern technology. The hidden treasures in the natural world—aeroplane, radio, computer and other technology—have all been discovered by those who were ingloriously defeated in the Crusades.

I will say to the one who has written to me the above letter that he should change his way of thinking. Helping others does not mean to give them money, rather he should impart wisdom to them. Helping others is not to give them money, but to give them wisdom. If you want to know more about what it means to impart wisdom, then read my most recent book ‘The Secret of Success’. The secret of success does not lie in having a silver spoon in your mouth when you were born, as had happened with Jawaharlal Nehru. Rather if a child faces difficulties and hardships, then he is fortunate.

Please read my book to know the secret of success in life. The secret is not in having love and affection, but rather to face the realities of life. One should have experience of the realities of life. One should be ready to face shocks.

Question and Answer Session

Tariq Badar Sb, who was just mentioned, is a great asset for us. He is the only person in his area who is spreading the Quran mission. I first met him in California. There was another person along with him who used to speak a lot and was very dynamic in personality. I was very fascinated by this person who would speak a lot and only focused on him, but paid no attention to Tariq Badar Sb. But later during our stay, this other person whom I was impressed by left midway. It was only then that my attention turned toward Tariq Badar Sb. When a member of ours had left, I was sad, but at the same time I got another member. This member, Tariq Badar Sb, is now a hero of our mission. Had the other person whom I was too much focused on not left me, I would have not discovered Tariq Sb. So I learnt that if you lose something, you will find something else. Tariq Sb is very precious for our mission. Had the other person whom I was impressed with not left me, I would never have turned my attention to Tariq Sb. If you have lost something, know that God has kept something else in store for you to discover.

Q1. I need to know how to develop marefat, wisdom?

A1. My experience is that wisdom, or marefat (God-realization), is already inside a person in great quantity, just as an apple has its juice. But to extract its juice, the apple needs to be crushed. However, a person is not ready to have himself ‘crushed’. People generally try to receive help from others. According to me, a person should instead be given wisdom, that is, he should be told that he should be ready to have himself ‘crushed’. To unfold one’s potentials and qualities, one has to be willing to have oneself ‘crushed’. If a person is not allowed to ‘crush’ himself, he would not develop. Parents give a lot of love to their children which is why they do not develop. Unless children experience shocks, they would not develop.

Q2. Most people make the mistake of overestimating themselves, and as a result they become frustrated. How to judge if a work is within one’s capacity or not?

A2. I believe that the greatest disadvantage to Muslims was that Iqbal gave them the concept of khudi (the notion of the self). This is a disastrous notion. The right notion is that of anti-khudi (anti-self). Because of the concept of khudi, Iqbal’s followers could not succeed. Many people would dislike what I say. But I want to speak the truth. Muslims need to leave Iqbal and his thinking. In every mosque, Iqbal’s poems are read out. Iqbal has only given sweet poison to the community. Many people would be angry with my opinion. But I want to tell the truth to people before I die, as we all have to face God after death. There was no one who misguided people more than Iqbal. Due to him, most Muslims believe in a wrong notion of qawmiyyat. They could not thus understand their age. It is an irony that only Muslims could not understand their age. People of all other communities could understand their age and made great progress. Muslims, however, followed Iqbal who only misled them and thus they could not succeed. Many would be angry with me, but I have to only speak the truth. Self-thinking is disastrous for a person. One must develop anti-self thinking. One can only succeed if one has anti-self thinking. Self-thinking can never lead to success.

Q3. Last week I saw you giving blessing to a girl who was going through depression. Many people are committing suicide these days. My daughter’s classmate was going through therapy for depression and was very good in studies, but still he committed suicide. What can we as parents and teachers do to help such children?

A3. I will tell you my own experience. I went to Pakistan several years ago. At the Lahore airport, a young boy came to receive me along with others. I could not recognize the young man. He said to me: “You do not recognize me, but I know you.” He then told me his story. He had gone into extreme depression. There was a hospital which did therapy for the depressed. He was admitted to the hospital, but it did not help him at all. Then a person whom he met gave him my book ‘Raaz-e-Hayat’. After reading this book, the young boy told the doctors to release him, as he said that he was feeling completely fine. His depression had gone completely and he began working again. This is why I believe that people need not be helped with money, rather they should be given wisdom. Giving money to people is killing their potential, while imparting wisdom to them is awakening their potential. The leaders of our community could not understand this secret. The real success of life is in awakening a person’s potential. Leaders of our community only misguided people’s potentials. Those who want to know the truth about the matter should read my book 'The Secret of Success', or ‘Raaz-e-Hayat' in Urdu.

Q4. In the present era, the youth is not interested in books, especially Islamic literature. Please advise on how to develop interest in them toward Islamic literature and the Quran.

A4. We are living in an age of reason, while leaders of our community tend to speak in the traditional language of pride. There is no reason or rationale in their words. Such a language only misleads people. I began to write with reason which is why many people received guidance from my books. Books written in the language of politics and pride have not done any good, while books I have written, are based on reason, and have impacted people positively.

Comment. Parents only know how to pamper. Pampering is poison.

Q5. As per God’s creation plan there will always be a section of people who are underprivileged. Those who are privileged are asked to help the poor. This is the concept of charity in Islam. Charity or zakat is meant for helping the poor. Most of us give alms to poor in the form of zakat, thinking we are helping the poor. Please comment.

A5. The term ‘weaker section of the society’ is wrong. Those whom you term ‘weaker’ are actually ‘richer’. They have a greater incentive to work and achieve. Incentive is a greater force than money. A very important point I want to make is that God has in this age given numerous scopes to people for acquiring to people. For every person, there is great opportunity to earn money. He can develop his skill and earn a lot of money. The dichotomy of beggars (faqir) and givers is over now. We are no more living in an age of ‘poor’ people. The age of the poor is completely over. Now earning is so easy that if you develop your skill, you can achieve all kinds of success. The task before a person is to develop one’s skill and not to extend his hands before others so that they give him money. People do not know that the skill they develop is the greatest wealth. I do not believe that people should extend their hands for money. Rather you should educate people to develop their God-given potential, develop a skill, and thus achieve success. This is an age in which there are innumerable opportunities for earning money.

Q6. Creating a compulsion is a big blessing. I understood this today. The concept of dissent led to material progress, but how did it help in spiritual progress?

A6. When the culture of dissent did not exist, people only engaged in argumentation. Every person lived in the concept of dichotomous thinking. Dissent, for the first time, was a neutral concept. There were no more arguments on proving oneself right and others wrong. This concept led to development and progress in the world. Before the culture of neutral discussions, there was no progress in the world. All kinds of science and technology only developed after the culture of dissent became prevalent.

Q7. Why are there ranks in Paradise? There is caste system in the present world, but why ranks in Paradise?

A7. You must understand God’s planning. God gave an opportunity to man to do self-discovery. That is, one must discover one’s own self and build one’s own self. Progress is not being bestowed here from high above, rather it is something to be acquired through one’s own "struggle" and level of self-development. As a result, there will naturally be different ranks among people. It is not ‘ranking’, rather the differentiation is a natural and practical result of difference in one’s own struggles.

Q8. Is the zakat to be utilized for creating incentive for people? Please comment.

A8. This is true. You should utilize zakat for anything that benefits people.

Bleaching powder dosing for disinfection in waste water treatment plant

Bleaching powder dosing for disinfection in waste water treatment plant

The pilot scale disinfection units located at two different UASBR based STPs have been selected for this study. One of these pilot plants has been constructed after 27 MLD UASBR based STP, Noida (Uttar Pradesh, India) and is based on chlorination using calcium hypochlorite (either slurry form or liquid high test hypochlorite, HTH) with a capacity of 2 million liter per day (MLD). The other 1 MLD DHS-biotower pilot plant, developed by Prof. H. Harada (Machdar et al., 1997), is based on fixed film aerobic process and has been constructed after 40 MLD UASBR based STP, Karnal (Haryana, India). These STPs, based on UASBR technology, consists of preliminary treatment (Screen and Grit Chamber), UASBR and final polishing pond (Fig. 1). A schematic diagram of the pilot plants at Noida and Karnal is presented in Fig. 2 and 3 respectively. The chlorination unit of 2 MLD consists of a sump, mixing unit and baffled contact chamber (3m x 7m) and a specific dose of chlorine was mixed with a separate pipe. The 1 MLD DHS-biotower based on fixed film aerobic process consists of a sump and reactor having plastic rectangular sheets onto which triangular prism polyurethane foams were tiled. Raw sewage after UASBR treatment was supplied to the chlorination unit and DHS-biotower
In case of chlorination unit, initially the bleaching powder was used as a disinfectant from day 1 to day 48 and later on it was found that there was no residual chlorine in the bleaching powder, so the bleaching powder was replaced with calcium hypochlorite as disinfectant after 48th day. The dose of disinfectant was 5 mgl-1 from day 1 to day 16 and was increased to 20 mgl-1 from day 20. The contact time for the reaction between wastewater and disinfectant was 30 min throughout the study.
Results and Discussion Reduction of fecal coliform: To achieve good disinfection, the contact time and dose are extremely important. A longer contact time is required for complete disinfection to occur. As per Lindsay (2004), a contact time of 30 minutes is a minimum, and if the dose remains constant, the contact time may necessitated to be increased at low temperatures or higher pH to obtain the same level of disinfection. Typical chlorine doses for municipal wastewater disinfection are about 5-20 mgl-1 with a contact time of 30 to 60 min (Lazarova et al., 1999). During this study, 5 and 20 mgl-1 of disinfectant doses for a fixed contact time of 30 min was applied. It was observed that a dose of 20 mgl-1 was very effective for the reduction in indicator microorganism (fecal coliforms). Initially when a dose of 5 mgl-1 was used, the reduction in fecal coliforms count was less than 90%. It may be attributed to the fact that the minimum dose required for the killing of microorganism was not sufficient as there was high chlorine demand due to the presence of high concentration of organic matter and suspended solids in the UASBR effluent. The average fecal coliforms count was reduced from 3.58 x 105 (± 1.02 x 105 ) MPN/ 100ml to nil at a dose of 20 mgl-1 and 30 min contact time (Fig. 4a). Thus the results shows that almost 100% removal of fecal coliforms has been observed after chlorination; however at certain days i.e., from day 7 to day 14 and from day 44 to day 53 (Fig. 4a), the number of fecal coliforms present in the wastewater effluent after disinfection was increased. It could be explained on the basis of type of chemical used for the chlorination. During this period, bleaching powder was used. Later on it was found that the chemical used at the plant does not have any residual chlorine. Chlorination was switched to the fortified brand of the calcium hypochlorite, high test hypochlorite (HTH). It indicated that chlorination was very effective in the removal of fecal coliforms if the regular operation and maintenance (O and M) is ensured.

Decision Fatigue Is Destroying Your Focus, Motivation and Drive

Decision Fatigue Is Destroying Your Focus, Motivation and Drive

VIP CONTRIBUTOR
Author, Biohacker & Peak Performance Expert
Have you ever gotten to the end of a long day in the office only to collapse the moment you walk in the door as if you'd just run a marathon? Or do you find yourself struggling to string together more than a few words, let alone a coherent sentence and you have no idea why? Then you may be suffering from what is known as decision fatigue, a term coined by social psychologist Roy F. Baumeister and loosely based on a Freudian concept that decision-making involves an expenditure of “self” or “ego” energy, of which there is a limited cumulative supply. In this article, we’ll explore how your everyday choices impact your mental cognition and what you can do to beat decision fatigue.

What is decision fatigue?

Every day we make thousands upon thousands of decisions, most of which we are entirely unaware of. And while only a handful of these are what most would consider significant, it's the cumulative effect that contributes to irrational thoughts and actions associated with decision fatigue.
In a study done by the National Academy of Science, scientists demonstrated the impact of decision fatigue. Researchers Jonathan Levav of Stanford and Shai Danziger of Ben-Gurion University analyzed more than 1,100 decisions from a parole board in an Israeli prison over a one-year period. They discovered that prisoners who appeared early in the morning received parole approximately 70 percent of the time. Those who appeared later in the day received probation less than 10 percent of the time.
These researchers found that the judge's decisions exhibited no ill-intent towards the prisoners. The likelihood of receiving parole later in the day was purely linked to the countless decisions they had to make. This research demonstrates that there is a finite amount of mental energy for applying self-control, and it wanes as the day carries on and more decisions are made.
As the above study demonstrates, the brain has the capacity to consume a tremendous amount of energy. But regardless of how stable and rational we might be, no one can maintain high levels of focus and output without paying a biological price. The reason we experience decision fatigue is due to the brain's built-in safety system, known as self-preservation mode.
The brain is hard-wired to ensure survival at all costs, and while it has evolved significantly since our Neanderthal ancestors roamed the earth, there are several primal triggers in this modern day and age. This means the more decisions you make, the harder each consecutive decision becomes, resulting in the brain seeking a shortcut in one of two different ways.
As our decision-making and extended focus continue, the brain monitors the body's energy output closely. When the body's fuel source become significantly depleted, the brain begins to shut down what it considers non-essential services, which unfortunately includes the prefrontal cortex, the area of the brain responsible for complex decision-making. This tribal response from the brain is one explanation as to why ordinary, sensible people lash out, make irrational decisions, buy junk food, make excuses and ultimately quit before they experience a breakthrough. This mental state can become further compromised by stress, nutritional deficiencies and other environmental factors that can mimic psychological disorders, such as anxiety, fatigue and depression. And here you might have thought a poor attitude was keeping you from achieving your goals. Fortunately, there are a few ways to combat and counteract the onset of decision fatigue.

1. Using ketone to counteract decision fatigue's effects.

While the easy answer to avoid decision fatigue would be to stop making so many decisions, this isn't an option for most people. Instead, we need to provide more energy to fuel the powerhouse that is the human brain. But don’t think you can just make yourself another strong coffee or down a Red Bull; we need to understand the sort of energy our brain requires to function at its optimal state.
Ketones are produced by the liver as a result of the body burning fat as a fuel source instead of glucose. These ketones are shown to be the preferred source of fuel for the brain due to greater energy efficiency, faster metabolization and a higher level of cellular energy per unit of oxygen consumed compared to glucose. There are several ways that you can encourage the production of ketones in the body, including:
  • A reduced carbohydrate diet, increasing the consumption of healthy fats.
  • Introduce MCTs to your diet and include intermittent fasting.
  • Buy pure ketone esters like the one from HVMN that I tested while on my 90-day mission to become unstoppable.

2. Daily Journaling: Limit your number of decisions.

As neurologist and teacher Judy Willis explains, “The practice of writing can enhance the brain’s intake, processing, retaining and retrieving of information. It promotes the brain’s attentive focus, boosts long-term memory, illuminates patterns, gives the brain time for reflection, and when well-guided, is a source of conceptual development and stimulus of the brain’s highest cognition.” Here are some specific suggestions for getting started:
  • Before you go to bed, map out the day ahead in your journal to keep priorities well focused, as well as alleviate any restless sleep due to lack of planning.
  • Focus on three main projects per day, so you don’t have information overload and can make well thought-out action plans and complete big projects that will move the needle.
  • Keep track of your progress and recognize small daily wins to boost motivation.
  • Visualize each day unfolding so you can prime your mind for success. This tricks the subconscious into thinking you’ve been there and done it before, hence you have nothing to worry about and you can enter a state of flow.

3. Manage your energy levels by asking daily questions.

Daily check-ins empower us to gain self-awareness to improve and become better. By asking yourself some simple questions, you can uncover how your biology and psychology may be holding you back from success and impacting your mental cognition. By delving into all aspects of your health, wellbeing and performance, you'll be able to better overcome factors that can decrease drive and performance. Some questions might include....
  • Do you have daily occurrences of gastrointestinal issues that are impacting your health, wellbeing and performance? The gut-brain connection is well-reported. If we want peak mental health, we must make sure our digestive health is optimal. We all know how foggy we can feel the next day after a late-night, high-carb meal.
  • Are you experiencing nutritional deficiencies? Testing for these deficiencies, which can mimic psychological disorders, may be a game-changer in recognizing what may be robbing you of your energy, drive and focus.

HOW TO SAVE YOUR MARRIAGE

*********************************************
HOW TO SAVE YOUR MARRIAGE---FOUR SIMPLE TIPS

TIP ONE : DAILY TALK WITH EACH OTHER ATLEAST FOR 10-15 MINUTES. It is VERY IMPORTANT TO BE ALONE TOGETHER AWAY FROM ALL OTHERS INCLUDING CHILDREN.YOU CAN TAKE TEA TOGETHER WHILE TALKING .
TIP TWO: LOOK AT HIS/HER PLUS POINTS. WE ALL HAVE NEGATIVE POINTS. DONT TALK ABOUT NEGATIVE POINTS.
TIP THREE: DONT FIGHT, FIRST COOL OFF. THAN TALK AND TRY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THERE IS NO EGO BETWEEN HUSBAND AND WIFE. SO IF YOU ARE WRONG, IMMEDIATELY ASK FORGIVENESS.
TIP FOUR: GIVE A HUG TO HER. SHE NEEDS YOUR LOVE AND CARE. GIVE HER A BODY MASSAGE.

Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) said
“This world is a prison for the believers and paradise for the disbelievers “
My Dear Brothers/ Sisters, a happy forever comes only in Walt Disney Movies. Our life ain’t a movie , it’s called reality and reality is very different .
Life comprises of ups and downs . Marriages is about holding on together even during tough times. A financial or emotional trouble shouldn’t rip you guys apart. Shaitan is waiting to strike at the right moment, but you shouldn’t budge.
Know that spouses should aim for the ultimate victory- jannah and help each other become better Muslims everyday and stand successful on the day of judgement in shaa allah.
ALWAYS REMEMBER WHO IS OUR MAIN ENEMY, ITS SHAITAN.
Shaitan wants to separate couples by creating dispute. Both husband and wife will be attracted to do haraam things on the whisperings of the shaitan. Because halal never interests shaitan ,so now he tries to break and rip you guys apart... He will be most pleased when a husband and wife fights and finally are separated. If you have done such mistakes repent , Allah (SWT) is most forgiving and may he guide you and put barakah in your wedding.Know that shaytan will pass waswas(whispers) and he will try to make a mountain out of a molehill for no reason.
STEP ONE: TALK TO EACH OTHER. One of the Biggest qualities, that makes us human is our tolerance. If we can’t tolerate , then we are no different than animals That’s what the prophet (SAW) advised us to not get angry . Even during a instance when the young man approached the prophet (SAW) for advise, the only advise he was given was not to get angry. Don’t take permanent decisions based on temporary feelings. If there is something that’s bothering you sit and discuss it with your spouse in shaa allah. Know that communication is the key to marriage. Concealing and building resentments over time which might lead to divorce at one point is the worst thing that you can do to your relationship.
STEP TWO: TAKE HELP OF FAMILY MEMBERS TO SORT OUT THINGS
STEP THREE: GO TO A DOCTOR FOR COUNSELLING.
***********************************************************************************************
One thing about Shaitan that every Muslim must know is that, he is very patient and very clever. He conquers you at the time when you are most feeble. When he sees a boy and a girl who are not halal for each other, alone and together, he becomes the third person who is present in the room . That’s what the Prophet (ï·º) said, "Whenever a man is alone with a woman the Devil makes a third."
The devil tries to provoke their desires and tries to make them feel that the other one present with them is the most handsome or the most beautiful. He tries to bring you both together and he works hard to ensure that you commit one of the Major Sins in Islam that is Zina . He desires to make you disobedient to Allah (SWT).
Everything about the other person who is a non mahram and not halal for you, will look so beautiful before marriage because shaitan is there beautifying it for you.
What they get married and become halal for each other, shaitan is not interested in you guys anymore, because halal never interests shaitan ,so now he tries to break and rip you guys apart.
That is why we have many sisters/brothers complaining that “This is not the person that I used to know before marriage”. I say yes, all their ugly qualities are beautified by shaitan before marriage . Now that he is no longer in the equation, ugly things look as they are.
Fights and disputes start coming into marriage .This is because the foundation to the building called “marriage” was not done based on the shariah but rather on cheap desires created by the shaitan.
If you have done such mistakes repent , Allah (SWT) is most forgiving and may he guide you and put barakah in your wedding.
One of the Biggest qualities, that makes us human is our tolerance. If we can’t tolerate , then we are no different than animals. When tolerance is not there, then divorce can be even as a result of a fight where the husband might have instructed the wife to cook a certain dish. Shaitan tried to provoke you and hells breaks loose, a world war starts, the end of which will be divorce. Know that shaytan will pass waswas(whispers) and he will try to make a mountain out of a molehill for no reason.
This is how silly some divorces can be and how shaitan wants to separate couples. He will be most pleased when a husband and wife are separated. If couples had a little bit tolerance and understanding towards each other, many divorces won’t take place . If they just take a moment , to think and comprehend for themselves, if the act commited was so severe that the penalty and it’s justice lies only in divorce? We will understand that sometimes, it was just shaitan and it wasn’t even worth a quarrel at the first place.
That’s what the prophet (SAW) advised us to not get angry .
Many Couples who I counsel to are in a rush. Some of them, neither they let us know the reason for divorce nor ask us if it’s reasonable to part ways. They just want me to tell them to carry on with the divorce proceedings and they think things will turn better after that in shaa allah and they will have a happy life.
Well, think again, that’s not going to happen for many of them. There’s an ugly side to it and this becomes clear only after divorce. Some of them, they have children and they now get the status of a divorcee. The chances and hopes that a divorcee gets married is very much less nowadays, as compared to a man/ women who has not yet been married.
I humbly request you to think twice before you make a choice, as decisions made in rush usually results in regret. Know that ur child can suffer the most in a divorce. The reason is, you brought the cruel world out there, inside your home in which is their living. It leads them to depression and affects them psychologically at a very young age. Home is a place where love is like air, if you turn it otherwise it makes ur kid’s life miserable and leaves them in a sense of insecurity for the rest of their life.
I am not saying , that you should stay in oppressive marriages. If you are going through physical abuse every single day or anything of the sort that’s unbearable, then in shaa allah , let someone who can help you , know about it . It can an a family member of the husband/ wife as the case maybe , your family members to sort it out . But if situation is not improving and you are getting psychically , then it’s better that you , that you divorce the person rather than staying in that abusive environment . Maybe Allah (SWT) wanted to direct you to a better spouse . Allah knows best . It’s important you keep your tawakkal (Trust) in him and move on for the better of your life .
I pray that Allah (SWT) guides you and grants you happiness. If you do have any queries or need counseling you may inbox me.
May Allah (SWT) grant happiness in our lives and in our homes and may he help our spouses be a source of comfort at all times and especially in times of need. May Allah(SWT) make our marriage a blessing for us and not a trial for us. This is a dua that , I urge everyone to make in their prayer
“Make my spouse and my children a blessing and not a trail “ .
Ameen

your mother your mother your mother

We have religious people in our time who kiss the hands of their teachers but they never kiss the hands of their parents. They serve the shoes of their teachers but they don't serve the sandals of the one who has Jannah under her feet. They assist their teachers in every matter but they never give any consideration to assisting their families. The Prophet ï·º served his family and he told us to fulfill their rights. Why is this oft-forgotten? Every true teacher, shaykh and wali will tell you that the first person who deserves to be honoured in your life is your parents. If they don't tell you that then they don't deserve to be followed.

Students and followers who fail to give due respect to their parents will experience blessings being stripped from them and will not succeed in life. Many of us spend thousands traveling the world looking for some wali who has been granted an accepted du'a. Why have we forgotten the du'a of our parents? Their one du'a for you in a state of pleasure can change your dunya and akhira whether they pray, fast, wear the hijab, grow the beard - or whatever else. You dont need to go far away places to please Allah. That place is your home.
Please share . Its sadka e jaariya.

Plant the seeds of success in this world But what grows is only in Allah’s control.

You are only responsible for planting that seed plant the seeds of success in this world But what grows is only in Allah’s control.

Source of the article : http://islamicrays.tumblr.com/post/183650815262/the-messenger-of-allah-peace-and-blessings-be

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “If the Hour were established upon one of you while he has in his hand a sapling, then let him plant it.”
The world can be a scary, dark place sometimes. You might feel like people are out to get you because of who you are, or that people willfully misunderstand you because of the tone of your skin, your features, or what you wear on your head.
You will be afraid sometimes. In these moments of fear and doubt, you’ll wonder if it’s worth it to keep going. You’ll wonder if it’s worth it to dream, to plan, to capitalize on your potential. You’ll wonder if bending yourself toward the light is a futile endeavour.
And then a day will come and you’ll find yourself holding seeds of promise in your palms and wondering – should I plant these? Is there any point?
Plant them. Gently place them on the earth, cover them with the soil they need to grow, water them, and let the sun tug at them until they crack open and shoot out of the ground to reach toward the sky.
Plant them, even if the darkness tells you “there’s no hope, they’ll never grow.”
When you’ve planted your seeds, you might become impatient. You might visit the patch of earth daily, sprinkling it with water and waiting. But try as you may, you can’t coax the little seed to crack open and grow. You are not in control.
When we plant the seeds of success in this world, we always want to see the fruit of our labour right away. But what grows is only in Allah’s control. When He says, “Be,” then it is.
You are only responsible for planting that seed: a good word, a smile, a dollar in the donation box, a helping hand to someone in need. Plant them, liberally. Make it your life’s goal to be the farmer of good deeds.
But instead of standing around and waiting for them to grow, walk forward and keep planting. When you’re leaving a trail of planted good deeds, don’t look back expecting payment in return for what you’ve done.
You will only fully understand what your seeds have grown into on the day when you’re standing in front of your Lord, reading your book of deeds.
I pray that day, we will all be owners of groves that extend far beyond what the eye can see.

How I Turned a Facebook Group Into a Thriving Startup

How I Turned a Facebook Group Into a Thriving Startup

Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.
This past summer, Facebook announced that it was removing more than 5,000 ad-targeting settings from its platform in response to accusations that those options enabled discriminatory behavior by advertisers. While that may have been beneficial to users, it makes it much harder for businesses to reach the right audiences with their ads.
In addition, Facebook posts don’t have the organic reach they once did. In fact, according to research from Social@Ogilvy, Facebook business pages with more than 500,000 fans see an organic reach of just 2 percent. As Facebook continues to change the algorithm behind its news feed to make the platform more about connecting people and less about displaying posts from businesses, you're going to find it harder -- and more expensive -- to reach your audience with Facebook ads.
And yet you have to try: While some brands may use these changes as an excuse to start advertising elsewhere, what you must keep in mind is that Facebook is still the third most popular website in the world, trailing only Google and YouTube. So, if you’re an entrepreneur, that means your customers are very likely using Facebook. And if you want to attract their attention, you need to be hanging out where they are.
What’s the solution, then, for businesses looking to build their brand on social media without draining their bank account? Answer: Create a Facebook group. Just the way I did.

Finding your audience

After I sold my internet marketing agency almost two years ago, I recognized the opportunity I finally had to pursue a startup in an industry I’d always been passionate about. What I didn’t know was what problem I wanted to solve. So I set out to create a Facebook group for boat owners who love boating at the No. 1 recreational lake in the country, Lake of the Ozarks (LOTO).
Both the purpose and name of the group would be simple: It would be a community where like-minded boaters could ask questions, share tips, show off their boats and find help if needed. I named the group LOTO Boaters.
I started by inviting several of my boating friends. Soon, the group grew to include a couple of hundred members, most of whom I recognized from seeing them out on the water.
But then something crazy happened. The power of Facebook groups lies in the ability of every member of the group to invite friends they think would also enjoy it. Once we had a couple of hundred members, it didn’t take long to reach a couple of thousand. Within a year, the group had 25,000 passionate boaters, marine professionals and local experts.
Then a pattern emerged: After a few months, I noticed a recurring discussion being posted several times a day. Boaters were asking for recommendations on whom to trust to work on their boats, docks and boat lifts. Most boaters know that maintaining and upgrading a boat is a time-consuming and often expensive process. If they’re paying good money for these services, they want to be able to trust the professionals doing the work.
I also realized that these professionals were just like any other entrepreneur. They were looking to gain customers’ trust and earn their business. Advertising platforms for marine professionals were pretty limited -- most businesses relied on local magazines, radio ads or billboards to showcase their services.
Bingo! I had discovered a problem in the boating industry. I then set out to fix it by building a means for connecting boaters with trusted marine professionals; and Boat Planet was born. If you’re an entrepreneur looking to build your own online community on Facebook, keep these tips in mind:

1. Provide value. (Seriously.)

This piece of advice gets thrown around a lot these days, but it’s especially applicable here. The fastest way to grow an online community is to provide valuable information to group members. The Vitamin Shoppe is an example of a brand that’s doing a great job of this. The company has started half a dozen or so groups around niche topics related to the health and wellness industry, and it uses these groups to serve tailored content to its audience.
Hopefully, you have some sort of expertise in the industry you are passionate about. Be ready to help new members looking for wisdom or advice. If they ask questions in the group, jump in and answer them -- or at least point them to a resource that can help. Don’t try to sell here. The goal is to become a trusted source in your industry where people go to find information and answers to their questions.

2. Give more than you take.

Facebook is already full of ads, which is why people are spending less time on the platform in the first place. In fact, the average amount of time users spend on the site is 35 minutes per day, down from 40 minutes three years ago, according to Sprout Social.
An easy way to turn off group members is to promote your company relentlessly. Remember, you want to provide value to your members, and throwing disruptive ads in their face is not the way to do that.
Similarly, be ready to dedicate significant time to your group. It’s very time-consuming to moderate a Facebook group of tens of thousands of people, and it’s especially difficult if you’re trying to launch a startup at the same time. Make sure you have a trusted team of moderators so you can focus on the big picture without getting bogged down with the details.

3. Seek feedback and build relationships.

Ask group members what they think about your idea before you spend your life savings developing it. You can do this by posting questions asking whether your idea would solve a problem or meet a need. If your group isn’t excited about your idea, chances are good that others will be similarly apathetic.
At the same time, build relationships with your group members. I’ve been blessed to have the opportunity to meet local business leaders and fellow boaters as a direct result of my group, and that's helped grow the Facebook group as well as my business. When you get to know your customer base and regularly receive their feedback, you'll find it easier to discover how you could better meet their needs and solve their problems.
Social media can help entrepreneurs take their startups to the next level, but traditional social media marketing tactics can be expensive and futile. Sometimes, the best way to see results is to get creative in the way you reach your customers by taking advantage of Facebook groups.
Not only can you grow your business without the high costs, you can also reach your ideal audience and provide more value than ever before.
