A Nostalgic Moment
In a box attached to our dressing table lot of miscellaneous things were kept away.Recently,I found from them two Important items of personal importance which i thought I had lost.looking at them brought a flood of memories.
The card shows that I attended a session of UN General Assembly as a member of Indian delegation in 1975.Not everybody is fortunate to get a chance to attend such a prestigious meeting. At that time i was serving in the External Affairs Ministry ,New Delhi.
The other photo exhibits a medal of excellence. It is the prestigious Pratibha Davi medal awarded to me by the Gauhati University (it was then the only university in the entire state of Assam)for securing the highest marks in B A Hons exam of1960 in the entire university.
