MAN FULL BODY MASSAGE -----How to Give a Full Body Massage to a Man

How to Give a Full Body Massage to a Man

Overview

Your friend wants you to give him a full massage so he can get rid of some of the stress he is feeling. You can massage all areas of his body, concentrating on relieving some of the physical stress and any muscle knots in his back, neck or shoulders. You should take care to use slow, gentle strokes and use only your thumbs and palms of your hands to massage the large muscle areas of his back, shoulders and neck. Don't overlook massaging his scalp and limbs as well.

Step 1

Cover the table, floor mat or floor with an old bed sheet to protect it from the massage oil or body lotion. Put relaxing music on at low volume.

Step 2

Ask your friend to strip down and take off his underwear, T-shirt and socks. Have him lie face down and cover his buttocks with the bath towel. Ask him where he needs the massage the most. If he's feeling stressed, he may be physically tense in his back, shoulders and neck, writes the Cool Health Tips website.

Pour a small amount of massage oil or body lotion into your hand and rub both hands together to warm it. Starting with your friend's back, rub the oil or lotion in gently, and begin massaging in long, slow strokes on both sides of his spine. Keep up with the long strokes until you have covered all areas of his back, then put more oil or lotion into your hand.

Step 4

Change to kneading motions, as if you were kneading bread dough. The purpose of using a kneading motion on your friend's muscles is to work out any knots in his muscles so he can begin physically relaxing. Use your thumbs to knead, looking for any knots in his muscles and slowly work on these areas, says the Cool Health Tips website.

Step 5

Replenish the lotion or oil and move to your friend's buttocks. Massage in a circular movement from his hip joint to his upper gluteal muscle, then down to his lower gluteal muscle, then back down to the hip joint. Put additional pressure on your strokes toward the center of his buttocks, writes the Ladies' Home Journal.

Step 6

Put more lotion or oil in your hand and begin massaging the backs of his legs, using long, slow strokes. As you get to his feet, massage the bottoms of both feet from his heels to his toes.

Step 7

Add more oil or lotion to your hand, and start massaging your friend's neck. Use the kneading motions, using both thumbs, looking for and working out muscle knots.

Step 8

Ask your friend to roll over and reposition the towel over his pelvis. Place a pillow under his knees. Put more oil or lotion into your hand and, using the kneading motion with your thumbs, massage his chest and abdomen. Massage gently in a clockwise motion. If he ate less than two hours earlier, be careful to use only light touch. Massage slowly, using long strokes from just above his pelvic bone to immediately under his ribcage.

Step 9

Add more lotion or oil and massage both shoulders, arms, forearms and his fingers. Stroke his arm from his elbow to his wrist, using your thumbs and gentle pressure. If he suffers from repetitive stress injury, take particular care not to irritate the tendons in his forearms and wrists. Move over his inner arm, in the middle of his arm and on the outer arm, says the Ladies' Home Journal.

Step 10

Massage lotion into your friend's hands and fingers. Then, wrapping your fingers around his thumb and fingers, squeeze and maneuver each digit. Don't pop his thumbs or fingers. Instead, pull gently and steadily on each finger.

Step 11

Move to your friend's scalp---without adding lotion this time---and move your fingertips from his forehead down to the base of his skull. Brace both thumbs on top of his skull and gently rotate your fingers in circles all over his scalp, says the Ladies' Home Journal.
