http://www.mindtools.com Personal Goal Setting

Personal Goal Setting

By setting sharp, clearly defined goals, you can measure and take pride in the achievement of those goals.
The first step in setting personal goals is to consider what you want to achieve in your lifetime (or by a time at least, say, 10 years in the future) as setting Lifetime Goals gives you the overall perspective that shapes all other aspects of your decision making.
Career:
What level do you want to reach in your career?
Financial:
How much do you want to earn by what stage?

Once you have set your lifetime goals, set a 25 year plan of smaller goals that you should complete if you are to reach your lifetime plan. Then set a 5 year plan, 1 year plan, 6 month plan, and 1 month plan of progressively smaller goals that you should reach to achieve your lifetime goals. Each of these should be based on the previous plan.

Then create a daily to-do list (investigate to-do lists here) of things that you should do today to work towards your lifetime goals. At an early stage these goals may be to read books and gather information on the achievement of your goals. This will help you to improve the quality and realism of your goal setting.

Finally review your plans, and make sure that they fit the way in which you want to live your life.

Staying on Course

Once you have decided your first set of plans, keep the process going by reviewing and updating your to-do list on a daily basis. Periodically review the longer term plans, and modify them to reflect your changing priorities and experience.

  • Be precise: Set a precise goal, putting in dates, times and amounts so that you can measure achievement. If you do this, you will know exactly when you have achieved the goal, and can take complete satisfaction from having achieved it.For example, instead of having "to sail around the world" as a goal, it is more powerful to say "To have completed my trip around the world by December 31, 2015." Obviously, this will only be attainable if a lot of preparation has been completed beforehand!

  • Set priorities: When you have several goals, give each a priority. This helps you to avoid feeling overwhelmed by too many goals, and helps to direct your attention to the most important ones.

HOMEOPATHY IN HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE (HYPERTENSION)...Rauwolfia serpentina

HOMEOPATHY IN HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE (HYPERTENSION)

A blood pressure above 130/80 in any person needs to be invesigated & if necessary treated. The cause of high blood pressure cannot be traced in 95% of the patients. However in any patient with 3-4 consecutive readings above 130/80 within a span of 2-3 weeks needs to be investigated for the cause of high blood pressure especially if he/she is below 30 years of age. One also needs to know if the patient has been on any medication & whether there has been any significant change in weight in the last few months. Routine tests which must be done include an electrocardiogram(ECG), Chest X-Ray, blood tests for kidney function, diabetes & cholesterol. Then if felt necessary, some tests for some hormonal studies may need to be done though it is not very common. Patients whose reports are all normal & where the lower value of BP is below 100 salt restriction, exercises & weight reduction if necessary is often advised with the aim of avoiding medcation. This if done regularly often avoids the need for medicines. However for higher BP or for patients in whom the above measured fail to reduce the BP, medication is necessary. In patients who are on high doses of BP reducing allopathic medicines or in patients whose lower value is above 120, allopathic medicines may need to be continued with homeopathic medicines for sometime. Later as the BP lowers, the dose of allopathic medicines can be tapered.
Commonly used homeopathic medicines / remedies for high blood pressure / hypertension are: Rauwolfia serpentina, Natrum Sulph, Crataegus, Aurum mur, Kalmia, Strophanthus, Cactus grandifolius etc.

premature ejaculation man..early discharge.. treatment cure

The researchers behind the report say premature ejaculation is a natural occurrence, especially among younger men, and that those affected can learn to control their response to stimulation themselves without recourse to any drugs or therapies.
They also point out that false assumptions about sexual intercourse aren't helping to dispel the idea that premature ejaculation is an illness to be treated.
"It is important for men to understand that in premature ejaculation the physiology of ejaculation and orgasm is not impaired, and that it is normal in adolescent males especially during their first sexual encounters," said report co-author Vincenzo Puppo. "Teens and men can understand their sexual response during masturbation and learn ejaculatory control without drug therapy."
The review goes on to say that penile-vaginal intercourse isn't important for a woman's orgasm, so in that respect it doesn't matter how long the sex lasts.
"In all women, orgasm is always possible if the female erectile organs are effectively stimulated during masturbation, cunnilingus, or partner masturbation, before and after male ejaculation, or during vaginal intercourse if the clitoris is simply stimulated with a finger," explains the report's other author, and Vincenzo's daughter, Giulia Puppo.
As many as one in three men may experience premature ejaculation during sex, though reliable statistics are hard to come by, and that means the report is likely to generate a lot of interest – especially one that says pills and surgery aren't necessary to help men last longer in bed.
According to Puppo and Puppo, couples shouldn't be embarrassed about premature ejaculation and can find natural ways around it, and those experiencing their first sexual encounters might find that idea more reassuring than most.
"Urologists, sexologists, and sexual medicine experts must acknowledge that PE is really normal in adolescent males, especially during their first sexual encounters," says the report, which has been published in the journal Clinical Anatomy.

In premature ejaculation man…
Ejaculates before the penis enters the vagina
During the time of penetration into the vagina
Immediately after the penis enters into the vagina.
SIGNS AND INVESTIGATIONS
Usefull information can be gained from the patient or couple. Write to me your problem.
TREATMENT :
Some helpful hints areas follows:
Method One : Make lot of foreplay with your wife. Most important thing is, dont get tensed when you get early. lie down and ask her to play with you. You wont get result in a day. But in a week, you will find lot of difference. Increase your confidence level.
Method Two : Masturbate one hour before having sex . Ask her to do the "stop and start" method:
This technique involves sexual stimulation until the man recognizes that he is about to ejaculate. The stimulation is then removed for about thirty seconds and then may be resumed. The sequence is repeated until ejaculation is desired, the final time allowing the stimulation to continue until ejaculation occurs.

Method Three : Regular sex
Having sexual intercourse after long intervals is responsible for premature ejaculation. So have regular sex. practice makes man perfect..
Method Four : Sex Position , keep your legs wide open, Dont keep your both leg together during sex
The sex position will be like this..., She lie down on her back with legs wide open. Ask her to up her leg (knee bend but still foot on floor and legs wide). You also spread wide your legs and start moving in and out. try this position for few days, you both will be comfortable and she get early orgasm and your time will also get increase day by day.

encourage intermediary agencies to start work on Indian NGO fundraising

==============================================

AN NGO SUSTAINS ON FUNDS. THE PROBLEM IS HOW TO RAISE FUNDS. This is the biggest hurdle any NGO faces.

===============================================

Introduction:

Indian NGOs fall into two broad categories - the "Government-funded" NGOs and the "Multinational NGOs" which receive their funds from foreign sources.
Anil Singh of VANI (Voluntary Action Network India) has been quoted in a hard-hitting article titled, "Most of the Funds they get never reach the Poor" [ Prasannan R., in THE WEEK: Sept. 15, 1996, page 31] as saying that the Government Agency responsible for NGO funding, CAPART is corrupt and charges commissions ranging from 10-40% in return for sanctioning projects.
If CAPART has sanctioned about Rs.330 crore to about 7,500 NGOs in the last nine years (in addition to grants from other ministries), we can imagine the number of bogus organisations and front organisations which have mushroomed to siphon off this easy money in the name of rural development.

FUND GENERATION
Money from the rent of factors of production is classified in this category.
It would include income from land (agricultural and dairy farms seem to be a particular favourite with NGOs, especially those with a rural orientation) and assets like buildings and facilities.
Income from consultancy or training and workshop fees would also fall into this category.
Interest on funds deposited in banks or return on investment from business enterprises is yet another example of fund generation.
FUND RAISING
This is a distinct category, where the NGO appeals to the public and persuades individuals and groups to support it's cause. By far the most difficult of the three methods, it also raises many ideological problems, which could actually be surrogate counter-arguments to involvement with an unfamiliar and intimidating approach which calls for new skills and attitudes.

However, there are a handful of NGOs some of them very small, which have been able to see the writing on the wall. They have started raising modest amounts of money and involving the public in their work.
NGOs have the problem of attracting suitably trained and motivated staff for fundraising. Once selected, these staff have to be able to fit in with the ethos of the organisation and it's key staff. Part-time fundraising staff appears to be one of the solutions to this problem.those NGOs with fundraising skills will not only survive the crisis, but emerge as strong organisations which can implement their agendas with no fear of government reprisal.
Many NGOs have begun their own fundraising programmes in India and there is general awareness that fundraising must become an integral part of an NGO's business activities.
It is recognised that fundraising is no easy task, and requires not only expertise, but some venture capital to establish as a going concern.
An Organisational Solution:

We have been suggesting to some of our concerned NGO friends and donor friends that the way forward might be to encourage intermediary agencies to start work on Indian fundraising rather than ask NGOs to do their own fundraising. This approach recognises the specialisation of the fundraising activity and the likely internal conflicts and contradictions that can arise within an NGO.

================================

MY INPUT : WHAT WE CAN DO: THE SOLUTION TO OUR PROBLEM.

Since we are all technical people in the field of environmental engineering for the last TWENTY YEARS , we should concentrate in the field of environmental engineering and generate income from I) consultancy in our own fields ,ii) training programmes and iii) workshop .
